Scholarship Shootout
***All participants in the Scholarship Shootout MUST be registered in the convention.***
SOLOIST PUT IT ON THE LINE FOR THE "CHARLY MARIE" SCHOLARSHIP
AUDITIONING
Scholarships will be given away at every Shootout. Anyone participating in the convention may audition and will be given a number to wear at the beginning of the weekend. The students auditioning will be watched during classes and the choreographer’s challenge. The field will then be narrowed down to ten students. Announcing of the ten finalist will be Saturday evening at the Choreographer’s Shootout. Those students will be asked to perform their solo routine in Sunday’s showcase for final adjudication. . ***All students auditioning must attend all of the master classes as well as all of the classes taught during the Choreographer Shootout.***
SCHOLARSHIPS
The Following Scholarships will be given out to both Intermediate and Advanced Levels:
Top Ten will receive a scholarship to The Shootout Convention (One City).
Top Five will receive a scholarship to The Shootout Convention (All Cities) and a scholarship for solo registration at Applause Talent’s National competition.
First Prize will receive a scholarship to The Shootout Convention (All Cities), a scholarship for solo registration at Applause Talent’s National competition, and the First Annual “Charly Marie” Bi-Coastal Scholarship for classes at Broadway Dance Center in New York and Millennium Dance Center in Los Angeles.
BEST IN CLASS SCHOLARSHIPS
Those dancers that do not have a solo routine or have a solo routine but were not chosen for the top ten will be eligible for "Best in Class" scholarships. On Sunday five scholarships will be given out in each class by the teacher. Registration is not required to be eligible for these scholarships.
